The introducer model, in plain terms

Debt Collection UK is not a debt collection agency. PASECOM GROUP LTD operates this website as a B2B introducer. You submit a commercial claim; we assign it to an independent partner; that partner pursues recovery under terms you agree with them.

1. Submit

Use the three-step form. We need your details, the debtor company, the amount, the type of commercial debt, and a copy of the invoice. Contracts and notes help. Consumer debts are rejected.

2. Assigned to a partner

We check that the file is B2B and send it to a vetted partner with the right specialism — unpaid invoices, corporate recovery, commercial rent, or international. You will deal with that partner on process, commission and updates.

3. They recover

Partners typically start with a Letter Before Action consistent with the Practice Direction — Pre-Action Conduct. If the debtor pays, funds go to you (minus any agreed commission). If not, the partner will discuss court options and costs before anything is filed.

Statutory add-ons may be available under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. They are not a recovery guarantee.

Send a letter before action first

Partners typically start with a compliant letter. You can send one yourself for a limited-company debtor using the free template, or instruct us and a partner will take the file. Sole traders need the Debt PAP Letter of Claim, not this template. See letter before action.

Leave your details and copy the letter. It is a practical B2B template, not legal advice.

Not legal advice

This is a practical B2B template, not a solicitor’s letter and not legal advice. You must fill in the [SQUARE BRACKETS] and send it on your own letterhead.

If the debtor is a sole trader or an individual, do not use this letter. Use the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims instead.

PASECOM GROUP LTD trading as Debt Collection UK is an introducer, not a law firm, and is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

How much does this service cost?

Submitting a claim through this portal is free. There is no upload fee. Once received, the claim is assigned to a specialist partner agency. Most partners operate on a no-collection, no-fee model: their commission is taken only if they recover funds, and you agree their terms before they start.

How long does the debt collection process take?

Timing depends on the age of the debt, the quality of the paperwork and the debtor’s position. Some files are recovered; some are not. Recovery is not guaranteed.

Will using a debt collector damage my business reputation?

We introduce claims only to partners that are expected to act professionally. They should behave as an extension of your credit control — firm, documented, and without harassment. Your brand remains yours; you can pause or withdraw instructions with the partner if the relationship requires it.

What should I upload?

Provide the debtor’s legal name, the amount owed, and a copy of the unpaid invoice (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB). Company number, invoice date, contracts, purchase orders and email trails all help. Consumer debts are not accepted.

Is this for consumer debt?

No. This portal is strictly business-to-business. We cannot help with consumer credit, personal loans, household bills or debts owed by private individuals in a personal capacity.

Are you a debt collection agency?

No. Debt Collection UK is a trading name of PASECOM GROUP LTD. We introduce B2B claims to independent partner agencies. Those partners carry out recovery. We are not authorised by the FCA. We are not a law firm. A specialist partner agency is assigned to collect.

Can I get a free letter before action template?

Yes. The letter-before-action article in the Advice Hub includes a free B2B template. Leave your name, email and phone to copy or download it. It is for limited-company debtors, not sole traders, and it is not legal advice.

When does statutory interest start on a late invoice?

The day after the relevant day in the 1998 Act — usually the day after your agreed due date, or after the 30-day default if no date was agreed. The rate is 8% plus Bank of England base rate, plus a fixed £40, £70 or £100 per qualifying invoice. Interest is a right, not a collection guarantee.
